Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Machu Picchu Peru Destinations! By booking a tour, product, or service with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These rules exist to protect both your investment and our commitment to providing excellent service.

1. Booking & Payments 💳

To secure your reservation, we require a deposit, with the remaining balance due upon arrival in Cusco.

Deposit Required: 50% of the total tour cost.
Final Balance: The remaining 50% must be paid on your first day in Cusco (before the tour starts).
Luxury Reservations: For bookings including 4-star or 5-star hotels, 100% payment is required upfront.

Payment Methods & Fees

We accept the following methods. Please note the service fees applied by payment processors:

✅ VISA: +5% service fee.
✅ PayPal: +5.5% service fee.
✅ Western Union / Bank Transfer: (Client covers transaction fees).

2. Passport & Client Details 🛂

Your booking is confirmed once we issue a written confirmation. Please adhere to the following:

Accuracy: Ensure your Full Name, Passport Number, Nationality, Age, and Gender match your passport strictly.
Health & Restrictions: Inform us immediately of any allergies, medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or disabilities.
Passport Renewal: You must travel with the same passport used for booking. If you renew it, bring BOTH the old and new passports to avoid being denied entry to Machu Picchu or trains.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy 📅

We understand plans change. Penalties for cancellations are based on how far in advance we receive your written notice:

🟢 3 Months or more before departure:
We refund 70% of your deposit (30% penalty).
🟡 30 Days before departure:
We refund 50% of your deposit (50% penalty).
🔴 7 Days or less before departure:
No Refund (100% penalty).

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Inca Trail Exception

Strictly Non-Refundable Components: Advanced payments for Inca Trail (2 & 4 Days), Salkantay Trek, and Lares Trek are 100% NON-REFUNDABLE. This is because permits and entry tickets are purchased immediately upon booking and are non-transferable/non-refundable by government regulation.

Refund Method: Any approved refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment.

4. No-Show & Force Majeure 🌪️

No-Show: We are not responsible if you miss the tour due to flight delays or cancellations. No refund will be given.
Force Majeure: We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by strikes, natural disasters, weather conditions, accidents, or events beyond our control.
Insurance Certificate: In the event of a no-show due to unforeseen causes, we can provide a certificate for you to claim reimbursement with your travel insurance company.

5. Discounts & Benefits 🎓

We offer special rates for specific groups (valid identification required):

Andean Community: Citizens of Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Bolivia.
Students: University students up to 25 years old with a valid, updated University ID (physical card required).
Teens & Children: Special discounts for travelers up to 16 years old.

6. Travel Insurance 🏥

Highly Recommended! For your peace of mind, we strongly suggest purchasing comprehensive travel insurance. This should cover trip Cancellation, Interruption, Medical Expenses, and Baggage Loss. It is the best way to protect your investment against the unexpected.
