FULL DAY: Rainbow Mountain Day Hike

🏨 Early Morning Pick-up: We start early! Our transport will carefully pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin our scenic journey south through the beautiful Vilcanota Valley while dawn breaks.

☕ Energizing Breakfast: We make our first stop at Qolqa Restaurant to enjoy a delicious, hearty buffet breakfast, giving you all the fuel and energy you need for the high-altitude hike ahead.

⛰️ Arrival at the Trailhead: Arrive at the starting point of our trek. Take a moment to prepare your gear, use the restrooms, and stretch your legs before the real adventure begins.

🥾 The Ascent to Rainbow Mountain: Begin your unforgettable hike (approx. 1.5 hours). You can challenge yourself by walking at your own steady pace, or opt to rent a horse or motorcycle directly from local community members (optional extra cost) to make the climb easier.

🌈 The Colorful Summit (5,036m / 16,522ft): You made it! Reach the spectacular summit and enjoy breathtaking 360° views of Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain), the striking Red Valley, and the mighty Ausangate glacier. You’ll have plenty of time for epic, once-in-a-lifetime photos.

📉 Return Hike: Begin the scenic descent back to the transport point. Going down is much easier on the lungs and allows you to truly appreciate the striking colors of the surrounding landscape.

🍽️ Well-Deserved Buffet Lunch: Return to our restaurant base for a delicious, rewarding buffet lunch featuring authentic and comforting local Peruvian dishes to celebrate your accomplishment.

🚐 Afternoon Arrival in Cusco: We safely drive you back to Cusco and drop you off near the main square or directly at your hotel by the late afternoon, wrapping up an epic day in the Andes.
